Phil all the very best to you with your new challenge.
I met Brian Suckling several times last season and was very impressed with him personally as well as his enthusiasm and ambition for Crawley Down FC.
Although it must be a real wrench leaving EG after so many years there working within the club and its set up, I'm sure you will enjoy working for Brian and Crawley Down FC.
All the best
Tobi

Sorry to see you move on, especially after last season's success. Best of luck with Crawley Down. Presumably, getting to see more of Mike May was key to your decision.... Good luck. Maybe we'll see you back at East Court in the Manager's office one day. cheers Mark

Ive read the EGTFC website a few times now.
Whoever post the news and updates on the website, is showing a serious lack of respect to the ex reserves manager.
Phil was at Grinstead for a long period of time and a volunteer if im right! Alot of his own time and effort was put into that club and providing boys with football (maybe thats the reason why the players have followed him to Crawley down, not cause he's taken them)
Show a bit of appreciation.

I agree Melty, very inacurate posts a well...
'left in the latter stages of pre season'...no, left mid July before a game had been played!
'left reserves high and dry and took all their players'....no they chose to leave and it was a team Phil built up himself anyway from local lads
Maybe the comitee realises what they had now its gone! A very strong reserve team for this level and a hard working club-man in Phil.

Just seen that Phil has moved on to pastures new, wish him all the best for the future.
Was a pleasure meeting him at the presentation evening and im sure he will continue to win things at CD. Shame hes left as its now unlikely EG will pick up any trophies this season so i will have nothing to hand out come end of season.

All the best for the future Phil.
A move to a bigger club :) :) :) is well deserved after your cup win and league success last season.
Interesting to see how East Grinstead reserves do next season as less and less people are interested in watching there first team anymore!
Missed ;) ;) ;) ;)

I would like to thank Phil for his help during my time in charge, As has been said, our work is voluntary so should always be appreciated. Of course from the clubs point of view the timing was bad, but these things happen and we have to get on with it and we shall. Al the best Phil, glad we are not in opposite dugouts, who would be loudest!! Bob Smith (I will always give my name)
