December fixtures have been announced and surprise surprise we have four succesive away league games. When are we going to get a proper season long fixture list where we don't have either a succesive run of home or away games. Can it really be that difficult. Important month however with those four games all against sides mid to the lower regions of the table. Lets hope for a succesful month. If we don't have any postpoments in December by the time we face Lingfield on the 2 January we will only have 10 games left for the remainder of the season so by the way things are going the season will be over by the end of February all because the fixture secretary is convinced we are in for a harsh winter!!!

Agree with you Buzzer. All very frustrating. I still do not understand after 27 years following East Grinstead we still do not have a season long fixture list. There are people who prefer the haphazard way the fixtures are dispensed. When May comes and all the ups and downs are sorted out i will get the F A Vase dates and F A Cup dates and just off my own back make my own season long fixture list just to prove to myself it can be done.

Boxing day match should be a good 'un if I can wake up in time for 11 am kick-off. Bacon sarnie would help lure me out of bed. Also Lancing on NYE should be fun. MLS - what crowd to you reckon we'll get for the Crows - over 250??

MLS, I notice on the County League Website they are advertising for a fixtures secretary for next season, maybe you should apply.

When i was at the Sidley United game. A Sidley fan said the Fixture Secretary job was advertised on SCFL. I had alook and it is. There was something i read which made me feel i would be excluded from applying. For anyone interested in applying, the SCFL have sent the following to the Local papers, the Argus, and Non League Paper etc. " FIXTURE SECRETARY required for the Sussex County Football League. The League has three Divisions at Step 5, 6 and 7 of the National League System as well as three Reserve Divisions. The successful candidate will be expected to commence in post after the end of the current season. A Season’s fixture list has been requested by Division One Clubs to commence from next season. It is envisaged that other divisions would continue with the present arrangement of a monthly list. Should you be interested in the post, you must submit your Football CV by email to the League Secretary, Paul Beard at paul.beard@tesco.net by the 31st December 2011."

Wasp, what do they mean by Football C V? To me it means what postions you have held in Step 5,6 or 7 clubs. The positions would be Club Secretary or Chairman, Treasurer those types of rolls. I may contact them to see if they would allow me to apply. Also how do they propose to deal with clubs whose grounds are unavailable for reasons out of their control.
