East Grinstead Town lost last night to a couple of a late goals. Redhill started the more brightly. We came back into the game in the second period of the first half. Cane forcing a good save from their keeper. In saying that Czanner making his debut pulled off a good save as well. Pelling who was unwell and was substituted at half time he was replaced by Saunders. The second half was end to end. Johnstone made a run from centre half and forced a good save from their keeper. Also he got on the end of a corner and forced Whittaker into a save. Redhill won a free kick and Davies scored from long range after 82 minutes. The second was a bit lucky after Czanner made a save the ball ran loose and sub Sousa scored on 90 minutes. On reflection Redhill shaded it. A draw would of been a fairer result. East Grinstead Town Czanner,Hampson,Wilson,Neville,Johnstone,Pelling,Belli,Gellatly(c),Hillier,Cane,Sebulia. East Grinstead Town Subs Etherington,Saunders,Miles Neville,White,Noakes. Saunders for Pelling at Half Time. Johnstone,Hampson both played well. Pagham away on Saturday.

Reply to the above, 'No way did Redhill shade it'!
No disrespect to the homesters as one can see they are struggling with injuries and absentees, but on the night the opposition were by far the better side, quicker in thought and movement and generally dominating most of the time with the diminutive Davies being a constant thorn thro out.
As stated EG tried their best but lack of punch upfront was there biggest weakness, but there again you can only use the players that are available on the night, by the way where is Ben Chick (Bognor)?

To be fair Mike you are probably right. I felt we could have got a draw. Redhill's Davies was good. All i know is Ben Chick is dual signed. Also he is at university in the Chichester area. You are right again we did not hold the ball at the front Hillier and Cane were well looked after. We are in a mire at the moment, but early days. Perhaps we can pick up players.

By far the better side is a slight exaggeration, yes Redhill had more of the ball and looked more threating going forward but all that seperated the teams was a very good freekick on 85mins after a poor refereeing decision and a 2nd in injury time when EG were pushing for an equaliser.
East Grinstead in fact i would say had the better of the chances, a couple goal mouth scrambles in the first half and Redhills keeper making some good saves- denying Cane in the first half and then Johnston twice in the second (including a one on one) Of course Redhill did not go the game without having chances themselves but it was hardly as one sided as you are trying to make out.
Game could have gone either way and a draw would not have been an unfair result. Redill are a good side though, very sharp all over the pitch and dangerous going forward.

Putting aside the clubs present predicament on the playing field, i must admit to enjoying my visits to the GAC especially the viewpoint from the stand giving such a great panoramic view of the match, also a PA system that one can actually her whats being quoted over the airwaves.
Friendly people from the chairman down to the tea lady which makes it an enjoyable experience.
Sure the club can only improve as the season progress's, there you've just gone and acquired another follower, after CDG of course!
