East Grinstead progress to the next round of the RUR cup. Belli scoring a 96th minute winner. The game was played at a fast pace, end to end. Strangely without any real chances. Gellatly had our first chance mid way through the second half with a free kick. Major replaced Sam Cane. His first touch of the ball forced Ringmer keeper into a diving save. The game went into extra time. Belli won it for us with a diving header. Gellatly was sent off after 117 minutes a straight red. Not sure why. Twitter was down at Ringmer E G Town Czanna,Hampson,Wilson,Belli,Johnstone,Pelling,Saunders,Gellatly(c)Hillier,Cane,Mathias. E G Town Subs Etherington,Major,Miles Neville,White Etherington for Hampson, Major for Cane, White, for Mathias. A good turnout of Grinstead fans at Ringmer 16

Another very good win agasint one of the best teams in the league, things are coming together and the team is looking strong and hard to break down. Another toughie sat against the unbeaten league leaders but no reason why we cant get another result and push on.
Also see Mike May has gone quiet on this forum since the last couple of results! Up the wasps!

Re the football - nice to see the goals going in at Worthing. They are struggling big time (as are Saltdean in Div 2, scrapped their reserve team and first getting hammered every week).
On non-football matters, congrats to the club on the firework display. Was a good crowd - took me 15 mins to get a beer!
Cheers
