Would you believe it! They do say it never rains but it pours.
After having suffered a burst pipe just under two weeks ago where a considerable amount of metered water was gushing from an open 2 inch mains for an indeterminate length of time, we have now suffered a burst pipe in our recently refurbished clubhouse. The leak was discovered this evening by Fizz. Water flowed onto the main fuse board and the whole clubhouse floor was covered in inches of water. It took Brian, Hatsy and me some considerable time to sweep out most of the water and rescue the furniture but it looks as if the newly laid laminate floor will have to be taken up and completely replaced. It is hoped that Hatsy can get the electrics sorted out tomorrow so that the heating can be put back on to start the drying out process.
Not the best couple of Christmas presents the club could have wished for!
