Another convincing win for the Wasps as we progressed to the third round of the Sussex Senior Cup. After dominating the first half during which our final ball or effort on goal lacked quality we took control on 54 minutes when Rikki Cable burst into the box from the left and fired into the bottom corner. Liam Baitup produced an excellent close-range finish (72) and Danny Beszent rounded things off (81) after a great one-two with sub Mithun Nayee. Chi finished with ten men after substitute Rowan Wallis was sent off for bringing down Lloyd Anthony as the last defender. Away to Hailsham in round three next Tues (Jan 18), kick off 7.45pm. Well done to the boys for another good performance

It was a good performance. Against a side above us in the table. I was surprised by the late arrival of Chichester City. I was walking to the ground at 7pm they were still turning up then. Not the biggest crowd but not a bad turnout.

Now they know how we felt, to be honest they shouldn't be making any teams do that sort of travelling midweek.
