Rye's Fixture Congestion

Bit surprised to see that Rye lost 1-0 at home to Redhill last night; although they did play a semi-final on Tuesday. They only have two days rest before they go to Bridges on Saturday and then face Crawley Down on Monday.

All good news for us.

Their schedule from now till the end of the season would appear to be ridiculous, if they come through it unscathed then it's a truly amazing achievement. On the flip side, making Redhill travel down there midweek is an absolute joke, this fixture Secretary has had a shocker this season in my opinion. We ourselves have to play 5 games in 9 days to finish our season. What makes this so ridiculous is that we have spare Tuesday's to fit games in and they've not been utilised. This is a real issue for me with people having lives away from football, how are you supposed to combine work, family and everything else. Officials once again living in ivory towers riding roughshod over everyone else.
