With results going our way on Saturday, 2nd place is now becoming more of a possibilty.
I know we've got a difficult run in with Crawley Down to play twice, although they might have already won the league by then, but if we did manage to grab second place is promotion to the Ryman League a possibility
I've heard on the grapevine that this year the side finishing second could be considered for promotion. If this came about, do we have the facilities required and if so does the club want to actually be promoted this season or would it have come a season to early.
Lots of ifs and but but just wondered what the clubs current stance is.

It would be good to see East Grinstead Town FC in the Ryman League. It may be asking abit too much this season. Rye have games in hand.

Ground grading work had to be completed by March 31 so I don't think we can apply even if we did finish in the top two. Third, to equal our best County League finish, would be a magnificent achievement. By the way, this time last year we'd just lost at home to Bridges and were bottom of the table. How times change !

You are certainly having a good run at the moment, but as you state theirs still tough games ahead, but with bridges having a 'mare' and Rye just exhausted i would think its between yourselves and the Piddinghoe boys. Lets hope you do the 'job' next season and ourselves manage to consolidate, then it would be great to have those local derbies again.
