Yeah, I think I'll have to agree. 2 other certainties for me are Steve Banks and Paul Short! Anybody want to throw any other names in the mix?

For older supporters Ray White, who played for the club in the 70s and 80s, was outstanding. Very brave and agile and liked a pint and a fag afterwards - didn't take it too seriously! Shorty was like his name but he hardly ever lost a challenge in the air. I'd also throw forward Simon Doran, a very clever striker who scored bags of goals for us at the start of the 90s when we were in Div 3 for a couple of seasons and down on our luck a bit.

Bob MacKenzie, Twiggy Haynes, Gary Brooker and Steve Norris. All from early years supporting the club.

I would agree with Gary Brooker and Steve Norris. I always rated Alan Chambers. Also James MacDonald as centre half. When i first started going in the mid eighties we had a good team. Ray White was a good keeper.

Don't forget Chalky White, great alongside big Mac in the centre of the defence with Ray behind. And Steve Hatswell in midfield. Brooker and Norris top notch, Alan Lester at left-back. Quite a side that.

I think Twiggy played for the club in three difference decades. I remember him turning out for the firsts at Mile Oak in Div 3 at the back end of the 80s.

And of course Scott Woolley, hugely talented player who sadly had his best years at Crawley Down

Simon Doran was in my opinion the best player we've had in my years of watching. Ray White would be goalkeeper, probably go with Adam Dart at left back who was superb in our recent promotion season.
How about Mark Grufferty right back?

People keep reminding me with players names. Chalky White a good player. Alan Lester played at a higher level. Mark Grufferty was a good right back. Drew Cooney is a good player better than most. This is a hard one
