We fell behind to a soft goal after 9 minutes. Maybe our keeper was unsighted. Lancing passed and moved well. The pitch was heavy and our wide players struggled to get into the game. We had our chances Reid fired over. At times we started to get on top in the first half. The second half started major coming on for Rintoul. Lancing scored straight after the break and added a third a short time after. We tried a few things but they did not work out. Death had a couple of half chances which showed we were making ago of it. Funnell replaced Death. Towards the end Fox pulled off two good saves. Lancing are a good side. Lingfield on Monday. Their manager has watched us twice. East Grinstead Fox Etherington Wilson Rintoul Pelling Lee Watson Gellatly Death Reid Chick Subs Major Watts Ford Funnell Lardent

EG keeper looked to be wearing lead boots today. Watson, so good against Crowborough, was ineffectual and we lacked much of a goal threat. Thought the youngster did well, number 4. Can't work out why he was subbed at HT. Thought Pelling did well, if he works on pace over 5 yards reckon he could play at a higher level. The makings of a good side but need a couple of quality players to push for honours. Crowd was a touch on the low side - perhaps the club should advertise more in the local community. Crowborough had a fans day - free entry - a couple of weeks back and got hundreds. MLS keep up the good work and hope your beloved QPR can stay up. Cheers Mitch J.

I think Sam Rintoul was subbed at half time because he was ill. He looked off the pace. Our wide players are the clubs strength. So teams know this. Lancing are a good side. The first goal was poor from our point of view. The second one i missed the build up. The third was a good cross and headed finish. This season has been like that for us. A run of results either way. We are improving, rumours suggest a few players returning. Next season will be good for the club. I have noticed the crowds have been slightly down. I have made my own enquiries into this. Five pounds was the right price to charge people. The people i speak to baulk at paying six pounds. So maybe going back to five pounds might be a idea. People from East Grinstead go and watch Crawley, also with Brighton H A moving to Falmer more people can watch BHA plus they are doing well. Also people who i speak to did not necessary agree with the previous Manager player rotation policy. I text four people a game with half times and full time scores. Also i do the twitter site at E G Town. People are interested in the club. Some want to know how we get on, but will never watch a game? They would rather spend the afternoon in the pub or play golf. A fans day would be good. Also with a haphazard fixture list people do not no when we are at home.

QPR have a good chance of staying up. All depends if Warnock can get the players he wants. We will be going for the same players as a whole host of clubs. So alot depends if the club can be sold to potential players. QPR need a new ground Loftus Road has it limitations. The capacity cannot really be increased due to housing around the ground. If any new ground sites come up we will have to do battle with Chelsea plus House builders etc As long as the clubs stays in business i do not mind what division they play in. I am still scared by the Wright years and adminstration

Good summary of EGTFC and QPR there MLS. Enjoy the match at Lingfield today if you're going. Another suggestion is that we recreate the Friday night fixtures we used to play at home. Back in the days of Simon Doran, Nobbo, Mark Harris etc. Used to sometimes get 200 crowd. Tranmere did the same to stop competing with Liverpool and Everton (or in our case Brighton and Crawley).

Yes i am off to Lingfield. I spoke to their manager on Saturday. He said if there was more rain between Saturday and Monday the game would be off. So i am surprised the game is still on The club website says the final decision rest with the referee. So that suggests to me i am not the only one who is surprised the game is on. It will be a hard game. Lingfield won at Redhill a decent result there. I am always confident. When i was young i asked Peter Cadmen if we could play our home games on a Friday night. He told me the other club has to agree. That may be the case now. Anyway all i wish for is a season long fixture list.
